Education:
Our children are incredibly valuable, and therefore deserve the best education we can give them. With this said, I believe that we are currently doing a poor job of educating our children. Furthermore, the average cost per student for this school year is expected to be just under $15,000.* The private options, in many cases, are now less expensive.* The public school system has failed us and should not be the primary option for educating our children. For instance, my wife and I home school our children. This saves our town over $30,000/year. Homeschooling is not for everyone and it is only one of many options. Therefore, I will support charter schools, vouchers, or any other means to eliminate the control our government has over the education of our children. Our children are worth too much to be left behind by the public school system.

Budget:
Our families each need to make the tough choices to reign in spending when times are tight. As families we each need to create and live under a realistic budget. So, why shouldn’t the NH government act this way? Yet, they are up in the State House flipping coins to see how to solve a 300 million dollar budget gap. This is Lynch’s way of railroading us to have a state income tax.
I will not support an income tax.
I will not support any new taxes or fees.
The issue is not one of income but of spending. We need to reign in our spending to solve the financial mess that our state is facing.
Firearms, (2nd amendment):
The entire Bill of Rights (NH and
Hunting is great sport, and I love hunting, but the 2nd amendment is not just about hunting. Personal defense is more important, as people have the fundametal right of self protection. Life:
This topic is a hot topic and will continue to be one. The issue in my mind is clearly one of when life begins. After much research, I have concluded that life begins at conception. In my mind, there is a distinct difference between 2 individual cells and the single cell that has been created by combining the DNA of both of those individual cells. Furthermore, there are citizens within our society that believe that a pregnancy can be terminated all the way up to the point of delivery. To destroy a child minutes before birth in my mind is clearly murder. I understand that unwanted pregnancies are a big issue and one that needs much time and attention, however eliminating a child does not seem to be the answer.
